Cask No. 9.206

The freshness of autumn

Speyside, Spey

Time left in the glass was rewarded with a sweet mix of white chocolate cookie dough, maraschino cherries and tropical fruit before developing into deeper aromas of Chinese five spice, tobacco and autumn leaves. Flavours in the mouth embraced mango, lychee and passionfruit with fresher notes of green apples, gooseberries and wild strawberries while in the background we found baked apple pie dusted with brown sugar. Water made things riper and fruitier with dessert apples, honeydew melon and apricot jam. Juniper and cloves joined geraniums and dried leaves in a dunnage warehouse while the tingle of pineapple and kumquat on the palate moved through tarragon and dill before arriving at marzipan, walnuts and green tea on the finish.
