Scent with love
Speyside, Lossie
Strongly perfumed aromas sent seductive messages of rose petals, carnations and cherry blossom as waxy notes suggested candles scented with lavender and coconut. Flavours then swirled through vanilla and white chocolate with toffee, fudge and creamy custard. Tingly warmth caressed us with crystallised ginger before plenty of new oak and tinned pineapple merged on the finish. With water came a dustier refrain of talcum powder and icing sugar. Toasty notes of breakfast cereals merged with coconut ice cream and sugared almonds as creme caramel found white chocolate mousse. Oak was now more dominant on the palate with firm tannins and spice being balanced by ripe pears, melon and peaches in cream.
