Tasting Panel Notes
The scent was like a gentle trade wind breeze blowing through coconut palm trees while carrying aromas of the Asian dessert halo-halo, a shaved-ice treat with jackfruit, coconut, bananas, tapioca and nata de coco. Plenty of vanilla notes on the palate were followed by a deluge of exotic fruits such as mango, lime and pineapple and, in the finish, a pleasant hum of cinnamon and nutmeg. Adding a drop of water, we enjoyed sweet dreams of lightly toasted coconut in a maple syrup sauce covered in dark chocolate. To taste, there were plenty of sweet spices perfectly balanced with juicy, oaky and fruity flavours.
