The Gathering Collection features three USA-exclusive casks that commemorate our Society's history and continued passion to share discoveries on our whisky journey. We start this journey with Cask No. 96.34 Stroll Through the Seasons and discover the complex richness afforded when a full-bodied make meets a first-fill bourbon barrel. An explosion of fresh aromas, ripe fruits, spices and a healthy serving of vanilla confirms this is a very substantial malt indeed! Complexities unfold on the palate with dried herbs, citrus and confection as we realize this is a dram that touches on the flavours of each season in one taste! Cask No. 30.108 A Taste of Home is a sherry lover’s dream having spent all 12 years in a refill sherry butt and our favourite for sipping this Autumn! Droves of cabinet spices, figgy pudding, pancakes and maple syrup await your nose and palate as this whisky opens to reveal even more layers of deliciousness with the addition of water. Buckle up for a wild ride from one of our favourite distilleries for sherried whisky! If peat is what you ultimately love, look no further than Cask No. 29.281 Driftwood Barbecue! This remarkable cask embodies all the intensity of heavily peated malt whilst charming us with luscious texture and complexity. Maritime aromas pervade the senses as we are transported to a seaside barbecue with all the smoked fish and meat one could dream of. Salty oysters with smoked butter and earthy caramel give way to lobster grilled on driftwood for a tremendous finish! This tantalizing trio of exclusive casks offers three distinct and fundamental expressions of Scotch malt whisky. Slàinte!
