Notes

Compare and contrast the flavour profiles of single cask rum and single cask whisky with Sherry Hunt. These kindred spirits both show off attributes of sherry in unique ways. Cask R8.3 Fruit and nut case was aged only in a refill ex-Bourbon barrel but flaunts the confection, fruit and spice of a sherried expression. Cask 35.215 Juicy figs and gummy sweets spent fifteen years in an ex-Oloroso butt with one year of additional maturation in a toasted European oak hogshead. Both drams bring complementary profiles to the table, begging for a side-by-side examination. Discern the differences in aromas and flavours as palates are ‘wowed’ by these two individual spirits stylistically linked by wonderful sherry flavours.
