Notes

Embrace the extraordinary when exploring these unique Society casks from the Speyside and Highlands! This selection provides a rare opportunity to learn about the effects of various oak protocols on a whisky’s flavour profile from five different types of wood maturation. Cask No. 78.49 I hope you like jamming too! represents a baseline of sorts, being the only whisky aged full term in ex-bourbon wood. Syrups, jams, oak and spices lead the way for a mouth-filling start to the flight. Cask No. 46.128 “Lotta good stuff” is a great example of flavours derived from designer oak. Exotic spices, silky vanilla and stone fruit desserts make a compelling sipper to pour over with your whisky-loving friends. Cask No. 1.262 A commune of delights presents maturation in a Spanish white dessert wine cask with earthy aromas and a ripe, juicy palate of tropical fruits and creamy custards. A Sauternes wine cask maturation in Cask No. 112.99 Feels like a caress offers up complex aromas and flavours with brilliant complexity and texture. We finish with a delicious Oloroso sherried malt in Cask No. 18.45 Hola! where ginger, raisin, toffee, caramel citrus and chocolate all combine to provide an indulgent and absolutely satisfying finale to our quintet of casks. Enjoy these five casks with curious whisky lovers for a delicious journey into the wonder of wood!
