Elevate Your Flavour Frontier presents five whiskies that will bring your Society experience to new heights! We pair up flavour profiles to show how much variety there is within the same profile and finish with an exceptional smoky cask. We commence in the ‘sweet, fruity & mellow’ flavour profile with a pair of impressive Speysiders aged in ex-bourbon casks. Cask 44.133 The dram of the falling leaves is a lovely party starter, showing the softer side of a typically full-bodied style. Bright fruits and earthy aromas lead to a luscious palate of orchard fruits, nuts and spice. Cask 39.205 Delightfully silky delivers citrus, chocolate and dried fruit character with impressive texture. Our next ‘mise en abyme’ features two decadent ‘spicy & sweet’ casks from the Highlands. Cask 68.50 Clingy combinations is a mouth-coating malt that spent full term in a re-charred hogshead, exuding marmalade, citrus oils, fudge and spicy char. Cask 135.24 Intrigued? You should be. spent ten years in ex-bourbon barrel followed by two years in a first-fill charred red wine barrique and lends ripe red fruit character to bramble, coffee and cabinet spices. Two casks with two very different personalities! We finish the flight with a surprising malt in Cask 122.34 Railway track to a log cabin. Don’t let the ‘young & spritely’ flavour profile fool you – this is a smoky sipper from heavily peated maltings! Highland peat lends wood smoke, salinity and a touch of medicinal character to a rich and fulsome dram for high-octane entertainment.
