Foppish dandy
Speyside, Spey
A fragrant and citric nose, full of fresh fabrics, plush cereals, pollen-heavy wildflowers, sunflower seeds, bracken and pineapple chunks. Reduction offered us lime and orange marmalades spread on ginger loaf, lemon curd, cooking apples in salted butter and Battenberg cake. A freshly opened pouch of rolling tobacco. The palate was milky, sweet and full of things like foam banana sweets, young calvados, soda bread and tart gooseberry. Water brought firmer notes of cashew nuts, malt extract, barley sugars and herbal ointments. Some bright notes of dandelion and sandalwood in the aftertaste.
