We felt the nose was slightly closed at first and needed a little time to open up. However, it evolved elegantly towards butter bean hummus, wet leaves, moss, cigarette papers and earthy notes of potting sheds and snapped twigs. Some sweeter notes of pink wafers and vanilla extract eventually coming through. Reduction brough softer herbal tones of bay leaf, some lemon zest and toffee bonbons. The initial palate was rich with new leather, big juicy fruits, banana, bubblegum and some white peppery warmth. With water we got icing sugar, cloudy lemonade, barley water and cough mixtures.
