Everlasting tropical love sauce
Speyside, Lossie
It’s no exaggeration to say: we were pretty dazzled by this classical and rather exquisite example of this lauded make. An initial waft of beeswax and pollens opens up to menthol, ripe green fruits, guava, long aged rums, plum wine, five spice, damson compote, citrus scented waxes and various aged medicines. With a careful drizzle of water we got floral fabric softeners, chalk, wild blossoms, cherry lip sweeties, white pepper, ripe pineapple, mango chunks and dried tarragon. The taste was initially one of floral spices, pot pourri, lemon balm, clove oil, rosewater, lychee, tamarind, lime jelly and cough syrup. Various teas as well: rosehip; mint; chamomile. Just superb! With water it became a tropical fruit salad! Lots of menthol tobacco, ranico, medical balms, throat sweets, heather ale, dried cherries and paraffin wax. Emblematic and sublime!
