The nose displayed a delicate equilibrium between floral perfumes and earthier nutty tones as orange blossom settled onto tobacco leaves. Carnations and geraniums merged with green moss in a florist shop whilst oily hazelnuts and Brazil nuts rolled into dried tea leaves. Sweetness came from nectarines and mead and continued onto the palate to be joined by spicy ginger. Then hazelnut praline arrived rolled in nutmeg and coated with milk chocolate. With water the chocolate turned to more bitter cocoa notes with wild mushrooms and truffles. A dollop of plum jam met demerara sugar with zesty orange peel and lasted onto a finish laden with stewed apples, cloves and toffee.
