Tasting Panel Notes

The initial nose had the deep sweetness of raspberry mille feuille with plenty of Chantilly cream before an authentic Turkish coffee was served. On the palate dates, figs, prunes and raisins as well as dark ginger chocolate and a bowl of granola served with orange infused honey. After a drop of water, we prepared an orange and ginger Crème Brûlée with Cointreau-flambeed orange slices, while to taste cardamom spiced panna cotta with mango coulis and a mug of lime tree tea with a spoonful of manuka honey appeared. After eight years in an ex-bourbon hogshead, we transferred this whisky into a 1st fill Oloroso hogshead.
