Cask No. 18.73

Beautiful, Frantic Sketch Artist

$185

As a finishing malt for one of Diageo’s big blends, this complex whisky is one that can only be experienced in the independent bottling. Our recent releases have been stunning, and this one follows suit with confections, flowers and just enough savory elements to keep you coming back for more.

Tasting Panel Notes

Method: fill one coconut with silk dipped in caramel, then spray with elegant French perfume before slipping on some wellington boots brushed with lemon curd. To the palate, we delighted in buttery, runny honey, toffee and fudge chunks atop burnt toast dunked in a young port. A sketch artist's frantic pencil movements threw the taste of graphite into the air. With water, the nose was sugar snap peas, cantaloupe melon and candy corn, while the palate was thick with honey, stewed apple, vanilla custard and chardonnay.
