Expect the unexpected

Speyside, Lossie

This was something out of the ordinary, the nose neat started off with soft ginger bread, chocolate limes, Orris root essential oil but then a deeper aroma of pot roasted pheasant flavoured with orange and served with chestnut puree appeared. The taste neat was intense, sweet and malty like a coffee and walnut sponge cake or molasses banana-oat bread. Water added to the complexity; carrot cake with a brown sugar cream frosting, sticky toffee pudding and a glass of Oloroso Dulce. On the palate words cannot do it justice, elegant, well balanced but also powerful like a vintage crusted Port wine.
