US Exclusive cask in celebration of The Global Gathering 2021
The nose neat has us rummaging through the spice cabinets, finding clove, ground ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon sticks while aromas of new leather and gentle wood smoke come from the den. The neat palate offers Luxardo maraschino cherries, figgy pudding, marzipan, cardamom and plenty of heat. The reduced nose had one panelist at the breakfast table with warm buttered pancakes and maple syrup while another enjoyed custard pie and candied figs. Honey ham, Raisinettes, anise, barley wine and geosmin all made an appearance on the reduced palate, with more delicious figgy pudding and Red Hots on the finish. This nostalgic dram will have you remarking ‘we won’t go until we get some’!
