Waxing tropical

Buckets of vanilla and creamy textures led us to buttery croissants served with quince jelly and apricot jam. Then rum and raisin ice cream joined lemons and coconut as we moved towards fresh oak coated with a fine layer of wax. On the palate came apples baked with raisins followed by pineapple juice and tropical fruit jelly sweets. With water, a more fragrant side appeared as rose water and chocolate-covered Turkish delight fused with marzipan and malted cereals while again waxy notes arrived. A burst of tropical fruits exploded on the tongue with a syrupy sweetness before sponge cake and melted butter on crumpets complimented sweet wood and pipe tobacco.
