A dusty note of talcum powder and new leather filled the air like raindrops on dry earth as the heavens opened with a downpour of tropical fruit. Drops of over-ripe mango and kiwi splashed onto sandalwood whilst heather honey and ginger marmalade showered over a botanical garden. A crack of thunder shook the earth to release Chinese 5 spice, cumin and cinnamon with a hot bolt of red chilli. Barley sugars and blackcurrant lozenges sweetened the air before a return to the exotic fruits of lychee, melon and banana. The storm faded to fresh ginger with distant reverberations of grapefruit pith and a lasting sensation of vanilla milkshake and ice cream floats.
