Cask No. 1.226

Salad undressing

Speyside, Spey

Direct, punchy and fulsome. Immediate notes of madeira sponge cake, American cream soda, grassy rapeseed oil, Edinburgh rock, orange cocktail bitters, cherry throat sweets, mint cordial and malted milk biscuits. Water brings out menthol tobacco, rosewater, white stone fruits, foam shrimp sweeties, heather ale, eucalyptus jellies and cider apples. The palate is super juicy and full of mentholated cough medicines, spiced fruit teas, pumpernickel bread, toasted pumpkin seeds, green chilli, earthy turmeric and roasted salty cashews. Gets drier as it evolves. With water we find a light creaminess with clover, grass, putty, fruit chutneys, sheep wool, juniper, mineral oils and lemon curd.
