Either way, your palate comes out a winner! Start off with Cask 63.66 Flowers in a cake tin for a light & delicate cask to pair with a refreshing pilsner. No Oktoberfest is official without a ‘pils’ and the freshly floral profile of the dram will make for a nice follow up to the crisp nature of this beer – a perfect opener to the tasting. Switch gears to a wheat beer and the young & spritely Cask 71.73 Lively but lovable. The aromatically intense tropical notes of the beer and equally intense expression of the malt are a sensory match made in heaven. Cask 1.226 Salad undressing marries a spicy & dry profile with a classic lager. Clean, slightly malty suds with spicy aromas in the dram make for a happy palate. This will be a bit of a palate reset for the next leg of the flight. Turn up the hops a notch with a pale ale to pair with Cask 68.43 When life gives you lemons... where the citrusy confection from this spicy & sweet whisky will be perfectly suited for a lightly hopped pale ale.
