A Feast of Flavours! offers five (5) specially selected Society casks each with a unique cask type – this journey into aromas and flavours showcases the wonders of wood like no other!
Cask No. 113.52 Dangerously deceptive gets the palate popping with robust malt aged in a refill hogshead. Distillery character shines through in true ‘spicy & sweet’ fashion. We increase the oak activity a touch with bold whisky aged in a second-fill ex-bourbon barrel with Cask No. 94.22 A replicant tries whisky-making. Earthy, oily and “old school” creates a tasting experience to remember from this brilliant Highland site. Our next two expressions venture into more advanced cask management for optimal flavour experience. Cask No. 105.39 Complex and delicious garners incredible depth from time in both ex-bourbon wood and a heavily toasted/medium-charred cask. Cask No. 80.31 Insuperable enjoyment relies on maturation in both ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks to offer decadent notes of chocolate, honey, vanilla and a scrumptious array of dried fruits and nuts. We finish the flight with Cask No. 4.309 A furtive peaty peck on deck - a compelling coastal sipper which benefits from time in first-fill ex-bourbon wood. Smoky, aromatic and just what we’re looking for to conclude this feast of flavours!
