Take a tasting tour through Speyside with this trio of exceptional malts! The Speysider transports you to the villages of Elgin, Keith and Cromdale, offering three distinct ages and cask protocols to quench your thirst for the region’s riches. Cask 46.45 A two-way street hails from Elgin and transmits the grassy and floral nature of the village. Its supreme age has added more confection and spice making it an elegant dessert dram. Cask 73.79 ‘Hopped Up!’ begets the oaky spiciness that is the hallmark of distilleries near the Isla River but not so much of Deveron at large. Deveron’s malts are varied ones, with distillery 73 offering the most aperitif-worthy style. Its additional maturation in a second-fill Sauternes hogshead has increased complexity but done little to mellow this vibrant dram. Cask 48.74 Coffee kisses and lucky tatties offers an expression that splits the difference of the aforementioned perfectly. Sweet and savoury spice will pair well with a bounty of Fall fare and provide a luscious lens into the Spey character. This liquid journey is certain to please the palate!
