The Highland Coorie In bundle presents a dynamic look at the Highlands with three very exciting casks. We commence in the northern Highlands with a whisky that sees secondary maturation in sherry. Cask 77.59 Making marmalade offers us initial aromas and flavours that are more indicative of the distillery style. With time and a few drops of water, the effects of its final year in a second-fill Spanish oak Pedro Ximenez hogshead are revealed. Spicy and sweet aromas and flavours abound in this complex malt. Our next stop is just up the road in Allness. Cask 13.80 Cerf sans moustache is one of those casks that deviates pretty heavily from its distillery style, a phenomenon that we experience often with Society whisky. Remember that only one cask may not always represent the house style and this is why we love single cask whisky. We want to capture that uniqueness, not blend it away, so members may experience very interesting drams. This oily & coastal oddity reveals a smoky, herbal and savoury delivery that will challenge convention in the most delicious way. Our last stop is on the way back to Glasgow in the southern Highlands. Cask 135.16 Flavoursome and fabulous offers a lightly peated pour redolent with floral smoke, spicy barbecue and a kiss of confection.
