Campbeltown
A nose rich in character and personality. It opens with linen, cactus, bamboo, miso broth, soy sauce, crushed aspirin, shoe polish, mineral salts, new leather, tar extract, old rope, sack cloth and Darjeeling tea. There's also petrol, flowers, iodine and malt bins. Water enhances the farmyard qualities. Lots of fermenting wash, haystacks, delicate cow pats, mineral, ash, olive oil, coal dust, paraffin, lamp wicks, hummus and black pepper. To taste this one is again rather farmy with lemon jelly, gorse, coconut, sweetened brine, smoked hazelnuts, salted almonds, newspaper ash, beach pebbles, wine gums, Blackjack chews and sour lambic ales. With reduction we fine pink himalayan sea salt, lemon infused brine, anchovy paste, wild garlic, parsley, sardines on toast, heather ale, carbolic soap and fruity wax. Superb!
