Enthralling and enticing
Speyside, Spey
Mesmerizing colour followed by a mesmerizing aroma! Imagine sitting one summer’s evening beside a loch, surrounded by lime bushes and dog roses, reading Walter Scott’s poem ‘The Lady of the Lake’. Dark, beautiful and vibrant; yet silky smooth on the palate like a rich dark chocolate bar with roasted Macadamia nuts and lots of stem ginger and caramelised lime pieces. With a tear drop of water a boat load of dried figs and raisins appeared, whilst to taste it was as if we were under a magic spell. After 20 years in an ex-bourbon hogshead we transferred this whisky into a 1st fill PX hogshead.
