The last spoonful

We imagined scooping up the last spoon of milk at the bottom of a bowl of cereal, sweet, slightly salty and grainy next to a Tupperware box full of digestive biscuits and Jaffa cakes. We then bit into a malted milk blondie with a sugar icing before mixing a Bonaparte’s Manhattan, whisky, Martini Rosso, Mandarin liqueur and Averna Amaro Siciliano. Following reduction, we were back with the cereal bowl, this time a muesli type blend of rolled oats, wheat flakes and mixed dried fruits, nuts and seeds. On the palate, a pistachio cake with vanilla cream cheese icing, followed by soothing lemon and honey lockets.
