Droplets of tropical fruit rained down as the antique oak mallet battered and obliterated a juicy mound of nectarines, ripe pineapples and melon. Tiny jets of orange oil glistened in the sunlight whilst peach stones ricocheted off pink grapefruit like golf balls in a blender. Beneath the juice and waxed citrus skin sat an earthier layer of dried porcini mushrooms and chocolate with mandarin. Caesar salad dressing combined with lavender and cherry yoghurt over lime peel. Then flambéed banana sizzled in a pan with maple syrup whilst a twist of orange zest brought about memories of an old fashioned cocktail. A delightful texture came from beeswax polish as the finish concluded with spearmint chewing gum and eucalyptus.
