Cask No. 12.36

Easy-drinking and more-ish

Speyside, Lossie

A completely inviting nose – pineapple warmed in the sun, honeydew melon dusted with cinnamon, crystallised orange and lemon slices, apricot Danish, custard creams, laurel hedge and courgette flower tempura. The palate was smooth, sweet, viscous and easy, with pleasing flavours of rhubarb rock, dried papaya and pineapple, a late development of citrus and a teasing after-taste of mild ginger and pink peppercorns. With water the nose displayed peaches, nectarines, sherbet, chilled white wine and mandarin peel. On the palate, the viscosity turned waxier; with flavours of Starburst and acid drop sweets, apple slices and sweet vinaigrette – easy-drinking, more-ish whisky nectar.
