With Mother’s Day being celebrated tomorrow, many of us would be getting ready to take mom out for the day, or enjoy a meal and a dram, but this year things look a little different. We may be physically confined to our homes, but our love for mom doesn’t have to be. Whether you share a home, are around the corner, or thousands of miles away, there are still plenty of ways to celebrate our love for mom! As a mother and daughter myself, I have put together a few creative ways to celebrate Mom, near or far, all while social distancing. 

Virtual Brunch: With the magic of technology, Mom won’t have to spend the day without you! Have brunch delivered to her from her favorite local spot and set up a virtual chat party with siblings and extended family! 

Write her a letter: I know letter writing can seem like a thing of the past, but there is nothing like receiving a hand written letter from a loved one.

Explore Scotland: I know this sound impossible right now, but luckily you don’t even have to leave your couch! Many attractions in Scotland are offering virtual tours, so you can experience the magic of Scotland with mom! Some of my favorites are the stunning Blair Castle , and Edinburgh Castle, right in the heart of the capital. You and mom can then leave Edinburgh and take a journey up to Perthshire to tour The Glenturret Distillery, and then over to Islay to tour Laphroaig!
