Our Late December bundle focuses on the nuances of peat and wood. Located in the Eastern Highlands, our featured distillery has been crafting beautifully peated whiskies for over a century. Our two casks differ in age and barrel but share the similarity of Highland peat. Unlike the seaweed-based peat of Islay, Highland peat is comprised of heather and other local flora. The result is a gorgeous expression of smoke and flowers that will delight the senses. Cask 66.90 sees the heavier peat regiment with a powerful delivery from time in a refill barrel. Cask 66.84 is more delicately peated with fruitier notions from a second-fill sherry butt. Taste them side by side for an interesting and palate pleasing exploration.
