A massive spice hit on the nose at first like spiced Dundee marmalade on freshly baked warm rye bread and melting butter next to toffee apples and butterscotch. That was followed by a blast of sweet red fruits and tangy root beer on the palate neat and salted caramel ice cream in the finish. Water added cinder toffee, toasted oak, raspberry jam cinnamon rolls and spiced lemon biscuits. To taste jammy (Strawberry), spicy (cinnamon and cardamom), fruity (dark cherries) and nutty (hazelnuts and almonds) – delicious! The mash bill for this bourbon consists of 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley, matured in a #4 char new oak barrel with #2 char heads.Â
