Sweet and perfumed scents were abundant as roses and flowering gorse integrated with the soft fruits of apples, pears and pineapple. A woody spice from sandalwood entwined with new soft leather on a lush and grassy lawn. On the table sat vanilla sponge cake with layers of marzipan, white chocolate and shortbread. Creamy coconut introduced buttery notes and toffee popcorn before tropical fruit returned with a twist of fresh lime and crushed ginger. Complex arrangements of herbs made a late arrival but were joined on the finish by freshly cut pinewood and green tannins.
