Tropical tea time

A puff of white pepper stimulated the nose before a procession of tropical fruit joyfully filled the room. Juicy pineapple joined ripe mango and papaya as apples and pears arrived swimming in a sweet syrup. A fresh waft of eucalyptus added an invigorating vibrancy that morphed into mint tea before turning to Darjeeling served with the buttery sweetness of victoria plum tart. Earthy tones introduced rhubarb and raspberry bushes as we encountered the warmth of ginger on the palate. Honey and fudge carried into cream soda whilst fruit returned in the form of lemon jelly and orange peel. A slice of gooseberry tart arrived towards the end, wrapped in the pleasing tannins of tree bark and a delicate waxy texture.
