Forty years ago, a whisky lover named Pip Hills was trekking from Edinburgh to Speyside and back in his vintage Lagonda hunting for the best single casks to enjoy with his whisky-loving friends. Pip went on to found The Scotch Malt Whisky Society while laying the groundwork for the future of single cask bottlings.
