The Thrill of the Taste bundle is a killer quartet of flavour certain to get the cask strength conversation rolling! We commence with a ‘Young & Spritely’ Cask No. 13.97 A wee, sweet-toothed, Scottish picnic. This flavour profile tends to invigorate the tastebuds as an opening salvo and the expression’s combination of creamy sweets and gingery spice checks all the boxes. Cask No. 9.237 Refill your mind offers a ‘Spicy & Dry’ flavour profile very rarely seen from this distillery. Citrusy and tropical with lovely minerality, floral and barley character for a refreshing take on this member favourite. Our next two casks offer very different sides of the ‘Sweet, Fruity & Mellow’ profile – Cask No. 55.71 New shoes delivers silky sweetness and a dose of spice from time in a charred hogshead whilst Cask No. 39.236 Dusty bodegas dotes on the floral and fruity side of sherry maturation. A fascinating juxtaposition of flavours and a proper conclusion to this first-class flight!
