Notes

Feast of Flavours sets the seasonal table with a quartet of mouthwatering whiskies (while saving a little on each bottle)! Let’s remember when you’re pairing whisky and food, you may either complement with similar flavours or contrast with opposing ones. Either way, you’re in for a cask strength treat! Our first cask sets the perfect mood…. Cask No. 9.217 Spring is in the air bursts with exuberance and zest with citrus, honey and herbs to match with an Epicurious recipe for Citrus-Oil-Marinated Spring Vegetables. This complementary appetizer will get the party started! Cask No. 12.58 Cloud disperser dials up the chocolate and caramel along with robust spices so we think a lightly fried spring delicacy will work wonders as a contrasting course. Bon Appetit’s Ramp Fritters brings earthy and oily flavours to balance out the dram’s sweetness. For a main course, we’re complementing AND contrasting with a Pork and Pickled Spring Carrot dish from Food & Wine to pair with Cask No. 68.66 Insanity dram – this complex mouthful of whisky has both sweet and savoury character that will beautifully match with the elements of the dish for a bold culinary adventure! Our final Cask No. 135.38 Delightfully grubby marries smoke, fruit and a slight maritime appeal that will have you returning for another nosing and taste time and again. Go for a classic pairing of your favourite dark chocolate dessert with this Highland gem. Whether you pick and choose or go for all four casks, you and your friends with a thirst for full-throttle pairings will be in flavour heaven!

If ordered separately: Cask No. 9.217= $175; Cask No. 12.58= $115; Cask No. 68.66= $110; Cask No. 135.38= $115.
