‘Icy – Chill’

Very clean, fresh, sweet and herbal aromas of bog myrtle, laurel, sweet peas and lemon-grass greeted the Panel next to peanut butter chocolate ice cream and an almond-banana smoothie. The initial taste was hot, almost harsh, with a sharp, sour and slightly acidic tart note. There was an underlying floral sweetness but we all agreed that water was needed. The nose now had an icy chill of elderflower sorbet, blue raspberry Slush Puppie and snowdrops blooming in the snow. The taste changed dramatically and had the creamy sweetness of vanilla custard slices as well as the spicy nuttiness of Bircher chai muesli.
