At cask strength the panel experienced a light melody as calm waves of violin bow resin and church pews reached noses. Scents of sesame snaps and toffee apples increased a sense of calm. On the tongue a bitter sweet sensation as vanilla pod and cinnamon spice combined with ginger and rye. The addition of water introduced savoury aromas such as; pipe tobacco smoked in a rosewood pipe and balsamic vinegar soaked bread. A substantial taste increased our appetite for exploration as bracken and pine nuts transported us to a bog-land setting.
