The colour was a glittering gold bracelet worn by a Parisian chic style dressed woman with black knee high leather boots entering a flower shop. The scent of her designer perfume mingled with the floral aromas of violets, lilies, roses and carnations. In the café at the back of the shop she ordered stem ginger and treacle tart with a smooth caramel-cinnamon latte. On dilution a nearby table got served a freshly brewed Earl Grey tea and to eat a Peach Melba soufflé and a fruit filled clementine cake. After 31 years in an ex-bourbon refill hogshead, we transferred this whisky directly into a 1st fill American oak Pedro Ximenez hogshead for the remainder of its maturation.
