We imagined sitting on a sun-baked terracotta tiled floored veranda overlooking the ocean in autumn (not in Scotland!) nibbling caramelised nuts before a serrano ham salad (more likely in Spain!) with roasted balsamic red onions, and pine nuts was served. After we added a little water a sweet, slightly perfumed breeze set in and as our next course, a refreshing Limoncello mint sorbet (maybe we were in Italy?) arrived and finally we enjoyed an orange cream cake with chocolate ganache – moments of serenity and delight! After 14 years in an ex-bourbon hogshead, we transferred this whisky directly into a 1st fill PX hogshead.
