Sweet summer berries
Speyside, Lossie
Gentle fruity notes dominated the nose neat, ripe apples, peaches and pears next to new soft chamois leather as well as freshly cut open vanilla beans with that heady mix of sweet, floral, earthy and spicy aroma. The palate was initially sweet like a warm brioche, followed by wild strawberries in a champagne jelly with elderflower syrup and finishing with a slightly bitter note of a dark chocolate ganache. A drop of water and the floral perfumed aromas of a potpourri of summer flowers arrived, while the taste now was soft, silky and smooth – summer berries in a sweet wine cream.
