The eternal sunshine

All signs were pointing towards a wonderful day basking in the sunshine amongst the daisies and buttercups on the lush lawns of the perfumed flower garden. If the sun became too hot we could shelter in the shade of the walnut trees or nearby pine forest with blankets of bluebells covering its pine needle-strewn floor. We refreshed ourselves with bowls of greengages, fresh strawberries and lychees sprinkled with cinnamon and crushed garden mint whilst crunchy gingerbread added to the spicy heat of the day. A sweet and buttery waft passed by like vanilla fudge whilst lemon sweets invited baked apple crumble to join the party. The finish was well rounded with more ginger, Turkish Delight and fine tannins coming from American oak.
