A nose to part the clouds and let the sun shine through; sun-cream and beach towels, fresh laundry, sunshine on straw and picnic tables laid with moist gingerbread, golden meringues, bourbon biscuits, lemon curd and roses. The palate starts viscous and sweet, crème caramel and chocolate Easter eggs, then gentle spiciness gradually appears; ginger snaps, cinnamon, clove and liquorice, lemon peel, wood and wasabi. The reduced nose discovers creamy coconut, coffee kisses and dark chocolate, with hints of lemongrass and bamboo. The palate now balances coffee and walnut fudge with toasted almonds, liquorice laces and coconut-based curry on a wooden spoon.
