The nose was a fruity evocation of lemon bonbons, fizzy apple chews, sticky bramble liqueur and blackcurrants; also marshmallows, vanilla and sun-warmed planks of oak. The palate blessed us with tutti-frutti, rhubarb and custard, bitter lemon and blackcurrant fruit leathers; then a slightly tingly finish of pencil shavings, ginger, curry leaf and coconut. The reduced nose combined fruit teas with dried flowers and Jaffa cakes with foamy bananas. On the palate we enjoyed Haribo Tangfastics, gooseberry fool and fruit punch, toffee popcorn, millionaire shortbread and a finish of pine wood and peach stones with lingering cinnamon and ginger.
