Just in time for a special Halloween treat, we are excited to share our latest American whiskey release with you! Bourbon lovers go crazy for a ‘barrel pick’ and that’s literally all we do. Every cask we release is a barrel picked by our Tasting Panel and have they picked a dandy for you today! Bourbon enthusiasts who have been with the Society for a few years might be familiar with whiskey coming out of Little Rock, Arkansas. We’ve been spoiled by several decadent expressions from this distillery, and Cask No. B3.9 Shooting pool at a BBQ takes our excitement to a whole new level! This bourbon derives its hedonistic expression from a heavily corn-driven recipe (over 80%!), adding in rye and malted barley for complexity. Perfect-for-Fall flavours of toffee apples, pumpkin pie, maple and cloves lead the way on the nose and palate for a rich and rewarding taste experience. This is a fantastic dram from this gem of an American whiskey producer. 

While single malt scotch remains at the heart of the Society, we are always on the lookout for exceptional casks beyond Scotland to take our whisky knowledge and enjoyment to the next level. This is a delicious example to share with your whisk(e)y- loving friends! To help stage a comparative tasting, we have paired Cask No. B3.9 with a classic Speyside malt in our Whiskey! Whisky! bundle. Cask No. 91.29 Tales of the expected boasts tropical and citrus notes along with almonds and maple syrup to provide malty counterpoints to our featured bourbon in this delightful juxtaposition of styles!
