We kick off 2026’s Society Life with a member who has been a true champion of the Society for many years. We first met Bryan McCoy at our Westland Distillery launch party (anyone remember 133.1?) in 2017, and only a couple of years later, he became the very first Member Ambassador for us here in the US. His passion for the Society and his thoroughness in creating and executing consistently exceptional events has changed the game! The Scotch Malt Whisky Society has just won four (4) medals at the 2024 SF World Spirits Competition, the most prestigious spirits competition in America! Each year, more than four thousand unique spirits are submitted to a panel of judges from around the world. Each spirit undergoes a thorough blind tasting process and is judged according to very strict criteria. This year we received three (3) Double Gold Medals and one (1) Gold Medal!
